Focus Areas for 2024
- Infrastructure development and maintenance: completing capital projects on time, to the right quality standards and within budget, with full compliance.
- Stakeholder management: building a positive image of NamWater through information sharing, publicising NamWater's work in communities, professional behaviour and a caring attitude.
- Building a formidable team: a disciplined, customer-centric and output-oriented team, with performance management and accountability at the heart of the business.
Dam Levels
Rainfall had not been favourable, with very low inflow into dams around the country. On Monday, 22 January 2024, dams were at 57.8% of capacity, compared with 70.8% at the same time the year before. The CEO urged everyone to spread the message that water must be used sparingly, and asked staff to manage company resources with discipline.
