Procurement
How do I get bidding documents?
Free bidding documents can be downloaded from the Procurement section of this website. Documents that must be bought can be paid for at the NamWater cash office at the Head Office, 176 Iscor Street, Windhoek (ground floor), or by bank deposit: send the proof of payment to the Procurement Management Unit at bids@namwater.com.na and the documents will be emailed to you once the payment is confirmed.

No. NamWater never asks vendors for payment in exchange for procurement opportunities. Official emails always end in @namwater.com.na. If in doubt, contact the Procurement Management Unit at bids@namwater.com.na or on +264 61 71 0000.

Where do I deliver my bid?
Deliver it to the Quotation and Bid Box, NamWater Head Office, Aigams Building, 176 Iscor Street, Windhoek, before the closing date and time. All enquiries must be made in writing.

What are your office and cashier hours?
Offices are open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00. The cashier is open Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30, and the cash office closes at 13:00 on the last Friday of every month.

Where can I pay my water account?
At any NamWater office, any FNB branch or ATM, any NamPost office (with your statement), MobiPay outlets, or by EFT, internet banking, debit order or stop order. Use your account number as the reference.

How does the pre-paid water system work?
The customer pays in advance for the water they will use. If payment is not made, the system cuts the supply automatically. Pre-paid systems have been installed at town councils such as Rundu, Rehoboth and Keetmanshoop.

Who sets NamWater's tariffs?
NamWater proposes a tariff adjustment to the Government every year, and the Cabinet of the Republic of Namibia approves the tariffs.

Water Quality
Can I have my water tested?
Yes. The NamWater Laboratory in Windhoek analyses drinking water, borehole water, industrial water and wastewater on request, and the public is welcome to ask about the quality of the water they use. A microbiology laboratory in Oshakati serves clients in the north.

HRDC
When does the HRDC advertise new intakes?
Every year in the first or second week of October, in newspapers such as The Namibian, New Era and Die Republikein. Application forms are available on this website.

Can HRDC students get financial support?
Yes. HRDC students qualify for NSFAF loans and Government subsidies through the Namibia Training Authority.
