The department has four divisions: Asset Management, Maintenance Support, Maintenance Planning, and Plant and Fleet Management.
Our Role in Supplying Water
Enterprise Asset Management tracks assets from their purchase or creation to the end of their useful life, to get the most value from them for NamWater. It also provides the heavy equipment and vehicles needed for the water supply function.
Services
- Asset Management manages the inputs to the business system (SAP) for the purchase or creation, depreciation and disposal of assets.
- Maintenance Support supports the Business Units with larger maintenance works.
- Maintenance Planning helps the Business Units plan, schedule and track routine maintenance. It is the custodian of the SAP components that show when scheduled maintenance is due and record the inputs used for scheduled and ad hoc maintenance.
- Plant and Fleet Management buys the heavy equipment and vehicles NamWater needs, tracks vehicles while they are in use and helps maintain vehicles and heavy equipment.
